Jazz Age Music notes that today is the 103rd birthday of the great harmonica player Sonny Terry, who was born in 1911 in Greensboro, GA.
Terry’s real name was Saunders Terrell. He almost always is associated with guitarist Brownie McGhee, with whom he had a long partnership.
