One More From Washboard Sam — For the Pictures

I happened to see “Tow Boat Blues” by Washboard Sam after posting some of his music this morning. The song is a collection of double entendres, which clearly was something at which he excelled.

The reason I am posting the song separately is the great photos of tugboats. The slide show was put together by Jim Hatter, who credits the Library of Congress’ Prints and Photographs Division and The Portal to Texas History. (Note the photo at the 1:41 mark: Scribbled at the bottom is the line “Tug on way to meet Carpathia.” This is the ship that rushed to the Titanic and saved 705 people.)
