HomeCountryIn Depth: Blaze Foley Carl April 23, 2015 Country, In Depth, Slider 2 Comments Blaze Foley was a highly eccentric but brilliant singer/song writer who lived and died in Austin. He led a hard life that came to a tragic end in 1989. Check out one of his songs, “Clay Pigeons” and this video. It’s an interview with the filmmaker Kevin Triplett, who released the film “Blaze Foley: Duct Tape Messiah,” a few years ago. MC_Antil Great, great stuff. Never heard of Blaze Foley, but feel a little richer, smarter and wiser for having watched this. Thanks, Carl. carl weinschenk Thank you for your kind words, as always, MC. I heard of Foley when a political site run by an ex music exec posted Clay Pigeons, which is one of the greatest songs I’ve heard in years. Hope you are well….
